Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO

Quentin Bryce was born in Brisbane in 1942 and spent her early years in Ilfracombe, a small town in Central Western Queensland. In 1965, she graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from The University of Queensland and, in the same year, was admitted to the Queensland Bar. She has since enjoyed a rich and distinguished career as an academic, lawyer, community and human rights advocate, senior public officer, university college principal, and vice- regal representative in Queensland, and now Australia.

The Quentin Bryce Studio, Conzano Italy is a part of the Migration as art Museum which provides studio accommodation to creative researchers from around the world.

The Gallery offers a two or three-month tenancy in the Studio apartment intended to generate and inspire interdisciplinary creative explorations and collaborations through the various disciplines - geography, ethnography, social sciences and anthropology. Referred to as a creative in-residence program it is intended to be diverse and be offered to individuals involved in the arts, literature and all areas that make and create a more humane society.

There is no stipend and fares to and from Conzano are not included and the successful applicant must pay a monthly maintenance fee to the Museum authorities.
